Association of Foreign Publishers’ Reps (IAFP) is a non-profit organization established in 2005 in Tehran, I.R. Iran. The main objective of IAFP is to coordinate the activities of agents and representatives of International Publishers in the Islamic Republic of Iran. IAFP has 19 members who play a major role in importing books to Iran. They own 85% of market share of all imported books to the country. The books are normally used by universities, research institutes, university professors, university students, researchers and other educated people all over Iran.
Those who deal in foreign books in the I.R. Iran and would like to become a member of the IAFP, are obliged to meet the regulations of the Association. Among other regulations, members must respect the copyright and represent at least one International publisher in Iran. The regulations are prepared based on a decade of experience of the founders of IAFP who are also members of the Association at the present time.
The Association welcomes new members if they meet the requirements. Members must accept the articles of association and regulations of IAFP at the time of admittance and during their membership.
